Privacy and disclaimer
What we do with the details you share with us, and the limits of the information on this site.
This page explains what Srihari & Co., Chartered Accountants (No 4, KV Colony 3rd Street, West Mambalam, Chennai 600033) does with the details you share through this website. It follows the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 as its parts come into force.
What we collect, and why
- The query form: your name, mobile number, topic and question. The form doesn’t store anything on our website. When you press “Send on WhatsApp” or “Send by email”, your own WhatsApp or email app opens with the message ready, and nothing is sent until you send it there. We use it only to reply to you.
- WhatsApp, email and phone: your name, number or email address and what you send, used only to reply and to help with what you asked.
- Job applications: the resume and details you email us, used only to consider your application.
- The map: it loads only if you press “Show the map”. Google then receives your device’s internet address under Google’s own privacy policy.
- The IFSC finder: when you look up an IFSC code in the Knowledge Bank, the code you type is sent to Razorpay’s free IFSC directory (ifsc.razorpay.com), which receives your device’s internet address. Nothing else is sent.
- Your browser: the site sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. It uses no advertising, analytics or tracking tools.
Please don’t type your PAN, Aadhaar, bank account, card or password details into the form. We’ll tell you a safe way to share documents when we work with you.
Who else handles your details
We don’t sell your details or share them for marketing. They are handled only by the firm. The website is hosted by Vercel, which receives your device’s internet address when you open a page, as every website host does. When you use WhatsApp or email, those services carry your message. Some of these providers may store data outside India. We also disclose details when the law requires it.
How long we keep them, and how we protect them
We keep job applications for 12 months, and other messages only as long as we need them for your query or as long as the law requires us to keep records. The site uses an encrypted (https) connection, and only the firm’s team can see what you send.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what details we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete them, or withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it. From 13 May 2027, when its main parts come into force, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 also lets you nominate someone to act for you and complain to the Data Protection Board of India if we don’t resolve your concern.
The form is meant for adults. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us for you.
